First Birthday!  Simple tutu done in multi shades of pink (of course).  White onsie with a hand cut felt cupcake done in Twiggs signature "easy to clean" removable style.  Plus a sweet little head band with removable bow to top it off!  Can't wait to see the birthday girl in it! If you see something you like, all you need to do is email twiggskids@gmail.com.
LOVE this simple little pillow case style dress!  With the MUCH APPRECIATED help of Q PDolls this design came to life.  Twiggs had a request for an "Elmo" themed dress. So not into the character fabrics so I asked her to trust me with this one.  SHE DID and the fun began.  The customers little girl will be adorable in this dress for her Second Birthday - Elmo Style! Oh, and Elmo is a pocket!  FUN!!!

Football, Football, Football...  My oldest, George, had a game in Selma tonight.  Bummer we lost but such a proud Mommy moment to hear, " Blocked and ball recovered by #90 GEORGE DUNKER".  Loved hearing his name over the system!  I know he thought it was pretty cool also.  I'm sure we will be hearing about it for a couple days (at least).

Boys birthdays are creeping up on me and we are trying to figure out what to do this year.  George starts planning his birthday party a year in advance.  I just want him to do something that I can create a handmade invitation for!  The older they get the harder it is to make cute invites.  He's going to be 10! Now Harrison on the other hand will be getting some creative invites and decor.  He's only going to be Four so I can still get away with it.

It's super late so this is a quick tid-bit.  Night, Night

First time blogger here!  Scary & excited.  I have a friend that blogs and hers are amazing so I have big shoes to follow ;)

Owning a children's boutique had been a dream of mine since I was very young.  I remember shopping with my mom in a cute boutique in Visalia (believe it was Bumble Bee's).  Not only was I checking out the goods but I walked around admiring the store fixtures and design.  For some reason I recall a tree.  Maybe a picture or a display but the tree sticks out in my mind.  From that childhood memory I created Twiggs (get it the tree memory I had).

After having our second son, we decided that I would become a DUN!, DUN!, DUN! - STAY AT HOME MOM!  For all of you that know me, this was a huge deal.  I am not a home body.  It lasted a handful of months before I was given the green light, by my loving husband, to start my venture.  Then sprouted Twiggs!  Since we live in the Hanford area it only made sense to open it in the adorable downtown area.  We opened just before Christmas and WOW was business booming.  I have to mention my very first customer was Amie A. who is still a good friend.  Three years passed and Twiggs was hanging on through the hard times of our wonderful economy (sarcasm) but, the hardest part was juggling the store and two growing boys!  My boys, of course, are my world so having to miss taking them to birthday parties, watching them play sports & all the other things boys do, was NOT going to happen.  As it grew more and more difficult I had to make a change.  It was SO VERY DIFFICULT for me to come to the conclusion of closing the store front but, it was a must.

I love creating things! So off I go to the world of crafty creations which is leading me to this blog!  FB has been a great media for sharing my items and getting some cool custom orders (birthday outfits are the craze).

Well, thats me in a "nut shell".  I look so forward to blogging.

Thanks for reading!
